Other markets expected to see Sprint roll out 4G this year include Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
Customers need a 4G-compatible modem to use the service. Sprint is offering a 3G/4G card that allows users to use 3G where 4G service is not in place.
Sprint said 3G users visiting its network’s 4G areas can acquire a 3G-only plan using the 3G/4G card and buy a one-day $10 pass to the advanced service.
